Want to find the best flavour RTAs for your vaping in 2019? You’ve come to the right place. In this article, we’ll talk about the best flavour RTAs on the market today (just in my opinion)! So here we have it, after a year of huge advancements in design and technology and a lot of vape mails hitting my doorstep.
I think I have a decent shortlist of tanks for all budgets. These are for the flavor chasers out there, yet they do chuck clouds too. They fit a great space in the market between MTL tanks and RDAs and will allow you to taste many aspects of your favorite e-juices that have previously been muted by poor sub-ohm coils and poorly designed airflow and build decks.
With these tanks, juices come alive. For testing purposes, I used the same juice in all tanks…Ella’s gold rush supplied by the legends at chefs flavors. These tanks really showed up the layers in this awesome biscuit vape. First, you taste the caramel, then the thickness of the ceramic style coating comes through followed by crumbly Moorish biscuit, and more creaminess and butterscotch. A total delight in all these tanks.

Best Flavour RTAs – 1. Footon AQUA REBOOT
The Footon AQUA REBOOT was the first tank that Footoon released that grabbed me firmly by the flavor. Its simplicity of design, solid build and outrageous focus on flavor that make this into the top 6. It’s pretty easy to wick and I haven’t had much leaking at all from the airflow holes. A bubble glass would be a certain improvement but it’s not a deal killer as this tank is not a juice monster.
I really like the top fill and it’s big enough to take any nozzle which is another pro as I don’t get overfills and vacuums which make for a messy refill. Decent Hex screws help coil installation, but I found the usual problem with dual coil tanks that use the same holes for both coil legs….you get coils dropping out of position as you tighten one side into place.

Best Flavour RTAs – 2. Footoon AQUA MASTER
Just as I thought I had found my ADV Tank, my go to, they released a bigger and better beast. The Master has the bubble glass I was craving on the Reboot and it just feels a little more rugged and modern. The flavor is banging, probably on par with the Reboot, but it just feels a little more grown up. The main difference is a piston airflow system ***BE WaRnEd*** sucking hard on this could result in a small piece of Korea getting stuck in your lung! For safety reasons, I removed this feature as I just didn’t trust it.

Best Flavour RTAs – 3. QP Designs Fatality
Moving from Korea to the US (ironic) we delve into the high-end world of QP Designs. Made in small expensive batches (around $80-120) and getting harder to source as they sell out on every batch. This is solid, it feels great and is a flavor warhorse. What you notice when you move into the high-end tank scene is the little extra’s you get, both in terms of hardware and features. I mean packs upon packs of extra screws and O rings, plus clever designs like clip close top cap with no threads….quad airflow…multi configuration postless build deck.

Best Flavour RTAs – 4. Vandy Vape Kylin Mini
I was a fan of the original Kylin until it refused to stop leaking from the base and destroyed two of my mods in the process, narrowly avoiding a house fire. On that topic, I often wonder what a house fire would smell like when 50% of the contents of the house is eliquid and e-liquid concentrates….. The Kylin Mini RTA differentiates itself from its big brother by not leaking so much…. but also comes with 180° Honey Comb Airflow Design and Condensed Chamber Section for immense flavor production and smooth airflow.
This is a world away from the big older leaky brother trust me, but the key point here is flavour. This ticks all the boxes for me, it’s a reliable flavour tank and good value too! Measuring 24.4 mm in diameter. Kylin Mini RTA is crafted with high-quality stainless construction. It includes regular pyrex glass tube and mini regular glass, the smart design enables the Kylin Mini switch from normal to bubble glass.

Best Flavour RTAs – 5. Wotofo Serpent Elevate
The original serpent was the first rebuildable tank I bought. It was great flavor back in the day when all you could get was SMOK garbage and really got me into the scene big style. Single coil for flavor, a single coil for simplicity, a single coil for better battery life. I often wonder why more flavor tanks don’t stick to the single coil mantra. We are not after huge clouds after all.
This modern version designed in combo with SMM is postless top airflow with another groundbreaking air distribution structure….aka airflow. The flavor is up there but is it that groundbreaking…no. It had to go in the list because Wotofo have done great things recently…the bravo for example, and their RDAs are great too. One issue I have is the dreaded plastic peek insulation!!! Didn’t they learn from the thousands of melted trolls….plastic and dry burning coils don’t mix. This is a major negative, but not enough for me not have bought this tank.

The Serpent Elevate prevails in flavor production in that it has a scientific air distribution system. The air comes in from the top air inlets and travels along the wall of the vaporization chamber down to the two big side holes at the deck and merges at the center of the deck bottom and then goes right through the coil above. Additionally, there are two relatively small holes there to let air in towards the sides of the coil.

Best Flavour RTAs – 6. Vapefly Core RTA
I have really enjoyed testing and using the Vapefly Core RTA, which is a cloud maker with good flavor.
Designed by the German 103 Team, Vapefly Core RTA has a unique Q airflow system drawing the air around the coils to keep the coils cool while ensuring maximum vapor production. The Core RTA comes with a 25.2 mm diameter build deck and a 2 ml tank section along with a 4 ml bubble glass. With the threaded top cap, the dual top fill ports can be easily accessed.
On the build deck of Core RTA, you can find a large single post which branches into two top mounted clamp style terminals. Every terminal has a build space of 2 mm in height and 3 mm in width, which is enough space for most of the performance coils on the market right now.
The RTA can be built as a dual coil atomizer. With the included single coil build deck limiter, it can also be built as a single coil with a more restrictive airflow. The Q airflow design of the build deck has eight airflow ports on the base per side, which are located below the intended location for the coils as well as three airflow ports per side built into the post. This design allows for a unique air flow direction to keep the coils cool while ensuring maximum vapor production. This airflow system draws air from two fully adjustable bottom slots of 14 mm x 2 mm.
In each package, you can find a 17 mm tapered 810 bore drip tip. Made of 304 stainless steel, the Vapefly Core RTA has a gold plated 510 connection.
With a unique airflow style and ample build deck room, the Vapefly Core is an excellent RTA great for clouds and flavor chasers.

Conclusion
So there we have it. A selection of my best flavour RTAs on the market right now. The Creed nearly got in there, the Bravo was close, the Zeus dual has no flavor so couldn’t get close. OBS tried and succeeded with the engine…but this selection are my winners.
