Best MTL RDAs and RTAs 2018
MTL (mouth-to-lung) vaping is making a comeback in vaping for 2018 and due to that, there are more options out than in previous years. MTL vaping is good for quitting cigarettes as well as using less juice and can last longer with smaller setups due to the low watt requirement. So there are plenty of reasons to go MTL even if it won’t give you the flavor of DTL (direct-to-lung) vaping. So let’s look at the best MTL rebuildable options out there in no particular order.
My list of the best MTL RDAs and RTAs of 2018 includes:
1. Vapefly Galaxies MTL RDA
Vapefly Galaxies MTL RDA is a small single coil RDA for MTL vaping and good for really restricted DTL low watt vaping as well. Includes a squonk pin, tons of air options and nice color options and it’s very affordable too. Unique airflow adjustment for both outside and inside of the RDA makes it very customizable. You will get an unprecedented vaping experience with it. Surely this RDA should be included in my best MTL RDAs and RTAs list!

2. Geekvape Ammit MTL RDA
Geekvape Ammit MTL RDA should be out pretty soon and I recently reviewed it last week. A solid choice that should be easier to find than the galaxies. It includes a squonk pin, lots of color options including some you don’t often see and it uses a top air channeled down. The only complaint I had was that the AFC is hard to adjust. I sent them a video showing it hopefully it’s fixed in the final version. Together with a professional MTL drip tip and 12 airflow adjustment options, this RDA is definitely an excellent MTL tank that deserves a place in this best MTL RDAs and RTAs list!
Geekvape Ammit MTL RDA Pros and Cons

- Great Price
- Nice Design
- Many Airflow Options
- It’s easy to build on.

3. Cthulhu 1928 MTL RDA
Cthulhu 1928 MTL RDA is one of the smallest chamber RDAs on the market, which is designed for true MTL and nicotine salts vaping. It has four airflow holes – 0.8mm, 1.2mm, 1.6mm, 2.0mm – for tight and loose MTL vapers. To reduce chamber space and produce better throat hit, Cthulhu adds a dome to 1928 MTL RDA‘s top cap. The RDA also has a raised building deck to make sure no flavor loss. Together with smooth bottom airflow, two 3.5mm drip tips and a 24k gold-plating positive pin, this squonk-friendly RDA definitely deserves a place in my best MTL rebuildables list!
Cthulhu 1928 MTL RDA Pros & Cons
Pros
- Good machining
- Great flavor
- Squonk ready
- O-rings are included.
- Super easy to build and wick
- Looks very beautiful
Cons
- Maybe it’s not as restricted as it should be for hardcore MTL vapers.

5. 3Cvape Savour MTL RTA
3Cvape Savour MTL RTA is very similar to the Galaxies but with fewer air options and doesn’t go as tight of airflow as the Galaxies, still a great option for loose MTL or very restricted DTL vaping. Comes with an Ultem colored or frosted color PMMA tank and matching drip tip as well to make it stand out. With great quality and outstanding performance, this RTA is well worth the buy for those who’re looking for a MTL RTA. I’ll be adding this to my best MTL RDAs and RTAs list.

6. Cthulhu Mod Hastur MTL RTA Mini
Cthulhu Mod Hastur MTL RTA Mini is the newer and smaller version of the original Hastur MTL RTA which is still one of the best MTL options if you don’t mind the larger size. The new mini version is a 22mm RTA with a smaller GTA styled chamber and swappable airflow options at the coil as well as an outside AFC ring as well.
Included frosted PMMA tank adds a little bit of flair to this simple yet good performing MTL RTA. If you are into flavor chasing and love your MTL rebuildables, you definitely will love this RTA. It is a little expensive perhaps but I think it is well worth it. With small chamber and restrictive airflow, this RTA can produce outstanding flavor and a cigarette like feeling of vaping.

I started vaping in late 2011 to quit chewing tobacco. over the past few years i got a lot more into the hobby side and buying and collecting a lot of gear. Fed up with the lack of good fair reviews i decided to start doing reviews late 2016 and haven’t looked back. I enjoy providing people with technical reviews that are fair and unbiased and from a place of knowledge to help them spend their money wisely.
