Geekvape 521 Master Kit V2
A team very kindly sent me the Geekvape 521 Master Kit V2. A new kit with various useful DIY tools, ready for review. As you progress through your vaping journey and begin to start building your own coils, you’re going to need to invest in some tools. An Ohms checker to check the resistance of your coils and to ensure they are safe to run on your device.
When I started building a couple of years ago, I ended up putting my own little kit together, normally by stealing and borrowing from around the house. All kept together in a lunch box. With this in mind, Geekvape has put together this comprehensive coil building kit, with nearly everything you’re going to need to successfully start building your own coils.
The Geekvape 521 Master kit V2 comes neatly packaged in a hard wearing Zip case. Measuring 140 x 170 x 30 mm, with the Geekvape Logo embroidered in one corner.
Once the case is unzipped, it opens up and folds out, allowing access to the contents of the kit.
This custom made case allows each item of the kit to be securely held in place, in its own fitted pocket.

521 Tab Mini
The 521 Tab Mini is an essential part of any DIY Coil builder kit. Allowing you to check the resistance of the coils you have installed. Plus being able to pulse the coils, to either dry burn them, clean them off, or heat them up for a set.

The 521 features a spring-loaded stainless steel threaded 510 connection. To securely screw down all of your atomisers that you are working on.
The right of the 510 connector is the slide switch, that allows you to switch between fire, off and resistance meter.
On the opposite side is the small fire button, that when in fire mode allows you to pulse the coil, and deliver a fixed wattage to the coil, with no adjustment.
The 521 features a bright orange LED screen, that displays changes depending on the selection, and will either display volts or ohms. There is also a battery level indicator. With three bars indicating:
3 = 100%
2 = 69%
1 = 30%
The 521 Tab mini is powered by a single 18650 battery. That is secured in place on the underside of the device, underneath a magnetic battery cover.
This battery can be charged when required through the micro USB sock located on the front of the device.
Geek Vape have included a set of tweezer multi grips in with the kit, which have a pair of heat ceramic tweezers on one end. This allows you to squeeze the coils as you pulse them and a tank grip on the other end, which is used for unscrewing those overtightened tanks and bases.
These high-quality nippers are perfect for cutting wire to length and getting into those fiddly places to cut off the coil of tails.
These needlepoint pliers are perfectly angled for getting into tight spaces when squeezing coils and pulling tails.
Every DIY kit needs a sharp pair of small scissors, for cutting you scrips of cotton for wicking, or trimming the wicks to length, these are nice to hold and are very very sharp.

The reason they have included a screwdriver set is not only for screws, but they are the perfect size for wrapping Coils around.
