Geekvape Karma 2 Mech Kit Review

Geekvape Karma 2 Mech Kit Introduction

Mechs (mechanical) mods produce raw power straight to the source and often hit like a steam train. If you Google these impressive devices you will see an array of different types, sizes, colours and designs. You have a low-end budget but a high-end prestige which can cost 100’s of pounds. I myself have a varied amount of mechanical mods and often like to change between different setups. Geekvape has produced a “Starter Kit“.

Let me first start by saying no mechanical device is ever a starter kit before using such devices. You must research ohms law and know your battery safety and what its capable of handling and build safely. I would not recommend a mech mod to somebody new to the Vaping scene. Now, Geekvape has produced a follow-up mech device to the previous “starter kit” they marketed which was the Karma kit. This new device is the Geekvape Karma 2 Mech Kit and it comes fully packed with upgrades. Not only does this device come in 2 colours, copper and black but it has different sized batteries; 18650, 20700 and 21700.

The fact you have 3 battery options made this very appealing. The tsunami rda is so good to build on. The deep juice wells allow for ample amounts of wicking and a decent amount of juice to sit in the bottom.

So let’s take a look first at the tsunami pro-RDA. This sits at 36mm high and 25mm in width, the bottom air flow is adjustable for single and dual coil builds. The protruding 510 pin sit safely to allow the use of the hybrid device. It has a chuff style cap on top and you have the extra adapter to use with 510 drip tips. Just simply pop the chuff cap out and screw the adapter on and then you’re ready to use 510 drip tips.

Building on this RDA was easy. Posts are evenly spaced apart. Coils sit nicely over the airflow. You have ample amount of space to get in and trim the coil legs. Wicking was a breeze with the ample space available in the juice well which will hold a decent amount of e-juice for an RDA!

Now the mechanical mod itself. It comes in two colours – copper and black. I have the black version of the colour matched RDA. It stands at 91mm high and 25mm wide. It’s got the 510 hybrid connection for direct power. Working the way down the sides the grooves indented down all sides and battery ventilation is via air holes at the bottom.

Delrin inserts within the mech chamber give added protection. The fire button has a Delrin ring and spring to prevent the battery from moving once in situ.

Geekvape has done well with crafting this follow up device to the original they created. The original I wasn’t a fan of due to the minor faults I had. I can’t find many faults which affected the performance or the design.

Geekvape Karma 2 Mech Kit Final Thoughts

I used a dual alien build and a 20700 battery and this hits hard! The cloud production was unreal and flavour coming off the coils with ample airflow was amazing. Now if you’re a fan of mechs and like budget devices then this would be a mech I recommend. If you’re a fan of mechs but you like the high-end devices then I wouldn’t recommend this as it does have the cheap feel to it. It’s a decent mechanical mod and I am overly happy with it. Being a follow-up device it would have been nice to see them change the design, add a few more colours and also add in a leaflet about ohms law!
