iJoy Avenger Sub-Ohm Tank Review

iJoy Avenger Sub-Ohm Tank Introduction

A surprise mail came through from Heaven Gifts in the form of the iJoy Avenger sub-ohm tank. I used to really like iJoy products up until the RDTA 5 which just caused me headaches and put me off their RDTAs for a while and considering there were better coming out I never really went back to them.

Stock coil sub ohm tanks no longer really appeal to me but there is one thing that did appeal and that was the inclusion of a mesh stock coil which has proven very good in other mods such as the Fire luke Mesh.

iJoy Avenger Sub-Ohm Tank Unboxing

The Avenger comes in what is now the standard iJoy packaging. A nice plastic container which protects the product inside very well. Inside you will find the Avenger subtank, instructions, spare coil and spares bag.

Preinstalled is the 0.15 X3 mesh coil (40w – 90w ) and the spare coil is the X3 C1S 0.35 (40w – 80w) coil this gives another option if mesh coils are not your thing.

I received the Avenger in a rose gold kind of colour, not my usual colour but it is different and I will be donating this one after this review to someone that will appreciate the colour more than me!

iJoy Avenger Sub-Ohm Tank ReviewThis is a rather nice looking tank, more of a short and stubby style thanks to the installed bubble glass. A more streamlined look that can be achieved using the spare standard glass that will drop the capacity to 3.2ml, but will allow the glass to site flush to the rest of the body. I’ve only used this with the bubble glass and this is, in fact, the first bubble glass I have not managed to shatter after a short time!

Vape With The iJoy Avenger Sub-Ohm Tank

Three weeks in and I have now burnt out the mesh coil that was preinstalled. I was reading that the wicking is part cotton and part wood pulp! Unusual, but it clearly works and I had a nice clean vape each time. I put various different flavours through the coil and each time I changed the flavour there was a minimal aftertaste of the previous flavour. Ok, so I kept my flavour changes sensible to a degree, but I did go from a Lemon to a Strawberry to a Custard and then finally to a Raspberry Lychee combo and each time I was getting the expected taste from each juice. The longest time I could taste previous liquids was between Strawberry and Custard but since the two go together it was not a problem and was not unexpected.

The vape from the mesh coil was very pleasant and more importantly satisfying. I found it perfect at 72w to 75w. Three weeks for a stock coil for me is a decent performance. Especially when I have been using some very sweet e-liquids in it. Once I had burnt this one out and replaced it the inside was clearly finished and black. The taste was still ok up until that point aside from the odd burnt taste now and again.

The airflow can be finely adjusted but for me just under wide open gave the best flavour for me. This tank may just change my opinion on iJoy for the better. Whilst the colour was not for me, that’s a subjective opinion. I will be ordering the Avenger for myself and will be happily using it in the coming weeks.
