Vapor Storm Puma 230 Box Mod Introduction
Vaporstorm, this isn’t a company I have ever come across until recently on Instagram when I was contacted by them regarding some of their products. We struck up a good conversation about what I do and after a short time they offered to send out their latest box mod the Vapor Storm Puma 230 box mod for review. I was happy to do this for them since the designs are something else and very eye catching. At very least these would look great in pictures for my page.
I have been using the Puma for a couple of weeks now so have decided to share my thoughts on it with you guys right now.

Batteries as you would expect are not included. I was sent the Puma 230 in a stunning blue design emblazoned with girls on rollerskates, skulls and flowers with the words ” Just ride dirty ” I love this design and was more than happy with this. Considering I expected one of the standard colour designs. All the designs I have seen so far have been very good. Very colourful and stand out well.

Vapor Storm Puma 230 Box Mod Closer Look
So as you can see the specs look pretty good. For me the lower standard firing range is a positive. The mod itself as I said is a stunner, eye catching too. As well as this it is incredibly light and very ergonomic. It isn’t as light as the featherweight Tesla WYE but still this is a lovely mod to hold. The finish on the Puma is top class the body is super smooth and no nasty ridges on joins or sharp corners to worry about. In your hand this just fits perfectly. Despite the design being printed on, I have not noticed any damage from normal everyday use and wear and tear. This is a major plus for me, all too often have I had a nice shiny mod and a day later there’s a chip from putting it down on the table.
On the front of the Puma is where you will find the firing button. Perfectly postitioned and of ample size. Nice and clicky too ! Underneath this is the large display where you can find all the relevent information. The screen itself while a good size, also is very clear and all the information you need is easy to read. Information that we can see on the screen is Wattage / Temp ( mode dependent ), Battery life ( individual readings for each battery ) plus Volts, Amps, Ohms and firing time.
Switching on and off is a simple five clicks. When you first turn the Puma on you will notice that start up is so fast, ready to vape in under a second ! Accessing the menu is different to what we are used too. Hold down the plus and minus buttons for a few seconds and you will notice the VW ( or whatever mode you are in ) icon flashing. You can now flip through the various modes using plus and minus and confirming your choice with the fire button. This has what has taken me the most time to get used too. I am forever clicking the fire button 3 times to try and get to the menus. Afterall this is what we are used too ! Admittedly though holding the 2 buttons is far easier.

I am very impressed with the Puma overall. It is a joy to use and carry about on a daily basis. I found the firing time to be very good. Not on par with the VOOPOO Drag but certainly faster than other mods I own. I have found that the chip inside makes good use of the battery power available and I am getting a respectable amount of time out of my batteries in comparison to others. Steady vaping at 60 watts I had to change my batteries at the end of each day. This has been my mod for the past two weeks and has become one of my mods of choice. Pricing on these, I have seen prices in the region of £45 online which is more than justified for the quality of this mod.
