Vaporesso Renova Zero Pod System Review
Vaporesso has launched a new individual brand called Renova. This new brand is dedicated to perfecting the POD system vape. Using their 12 years in the vaping game, Vaporesso is utilizing their research and innovation to take POD systems to the next level. Their first product they are launching under the Renova brand is the Vaporesso Renova Zero POD System. The Zero is a refillable POD system utilizing a unique Press to Fill ‘PTFTM’ mechanism and ceramic CCELL coils.
For my vaping preference, I’m a sub-ohm tank or RDA guy. I love the flavor and the clouds but I’ve been of the mindset that sub-tanks or RDAs aren’t great in certain everyday situations. For example, at the smoking area at my workplace, I would take shorter hits or run lower wattage because I didn’t like the attention massive clouds bring.

Those side stares and peering eyes at the guy with the douche flute. Or when I’m driving in the rain and my car looks like I was hotboxing, VG sticking to the windows and fogging them up. It just wasn’t ideal. When I was contacted about reviewing the Zero POD system, I jumped at the chance. I’ve tried numerous other POD style vapes in the past and found while they were mostly adequate, I haven’t found one that could replace my sub-tank. So after a week of use has the Zero changed that for me? Keep reading to find out.

Initial Impressions on Vaporesso Renova Zero Pod System
The Renova Zero is a cool little POD system. It’s compact in size and has some innovative features to try and set it apart from the numerous other POD systems out on the market today.
The Zero pod utilizes a Press to Fill system. You press your juice nozzle down into the POD and squeeze to fill. When you are done you pull out the juice nozzle and you’re done. It’s a pretty clean way to fill the pod and you don’t have to mess with pulling out stoppers or unscrewing coils which can be super messy on other devices. The POD section has magnets on the base holding it securely into place. There is a little tiny bit of wiggle, but nothing too substantial. The total capacity for the POD is 2ML. Inside the PODs are CCELL coils optimized for high nicotine liquids.

The body is covered in zinc alloy and houses a 650mAh battery and an Advanced Omni Board Mini. With the Omni Board Mini doing work, the Renova Zero offers auto Temperature Control and has 3 different power settings. On the side of the device is one button. This is used to turn the POD on/off and to select the power level. Five clicks on/off. Three clicks and the LED on the button changes color from Red 9 watts to Blue 10 watts and Green 12.5 watts. There’s no fire button. It’s draw is activated from the mouthpiece.

It’s a pretty big ask for a little POD system to replace my cloud beasts but I think the Renova Zero has put on a good show.
Form factor of the device is excellent. I have always liked the portability of POD systems and this one comes in a couple mm’s shorter and slimmer than the Aspire Breeze. It was easy to slip into my jeans and coat pockets when on the go. This did cause a bit of a situation when it slipped out of my pants pocket into that spot between the driver seat and center console. It was such a pain to retrieve it. It also exposed that the finish on this POD system isn’t that durable and it will scratch quite easily.
How far did the 650mAh battery get me in the day to day usage? From charging it the night before, I wouldn’t need to charge the device until the evening. Even then, with quick charging on hand, a full charge could be achieved from dead in 45 minutes.
System Performance Continued
The Press to Fill method was pretty cool. I like that they included a small unicorn bottle to fill with your juice to make filling easier. I did find that the spring mechanism wanted to keep pushing back and I had to press down hard at times to get it to fill. Nevertheless, it does a good job and I didn’t experience any leakage from the fill onboard temp control which works pretty fantastic.
I never once experienced a dry hit and the CCELL coils really do bring out the flavor on the salt nic juices. I was using a 30mg liquid and flavor notes were more pronounced than they were on the Breeze 1 or Diamond Bae. One thing I’ve noticed is vape companies only like to include one pod/coil in their new devices. This is a con for me. I’ve said it before, but what if that one coil is a dud? Your new customer will have a shit experience and may not buy more pod/coils because they think your device sucks. Just my opinion.

Conclusion
It’s definitely a high order to be the first product launched under a new brand. Luckily Vaporesso has the experience in the vape game and are focused on making great products for their customer base. They’ve done a great job with the first Renova product. Renova is off to a killer start. The Zero delivers. Vaporesso Renova Zero POD System is a simple device with some great features. The vape is tasty and consistent. I found a vape to replace my sub-tanks for work. Its’ fantastic!
A lot of this will be subjective and some of you may not care to try a POD system. If you happen to be in the market for one, I would recommend that you consider buying the Vaporesso Renova Zero Pod System.
