VOOPOO TOO Box Mod, Look and Feel
At first glance, the VOOPOO TOO looks like a work of art. The clean edges and sleek designs are eye-catching, to say the least. Taking a look at the Drag, the differences are slight and mostly fall into the aesthetic category. Most notably, the TOO has a unique battery door design in which each side panel can be slid open to reveal a single battery slot. Users can choose to use either a single or dual battery configuration depending on their power requirements.
Prospective buyers have a few choices when it comes to the aesthetic design of the TOO. Options include either a silver or black body with 4 different pattern designs on the mod.Finding the right look to match your style should be easy with the vast amount of options available with the TOO.
The TOO is average in size but with both batteries installed it can be on the heavier side for a dual battery device. With no batteries installed, the TOO feels fairly lightweight and surprisingly a bit flimsy. Operation buttons on the device are slightly soft with a bit of rattle and some movement.
Something to mention about the sliding battery doors is that they tend to pop open while holding the device in hand. This is easily resolved by adjusting the grip on the device from full palm to just the front and back.
When it comes to look and feel, the Too feels made well enough but shines in the looks department. No matter which design you should choose, the Too is an eye-catching masterpiece of aesthetic design.
VOOPOO TOO Box Mod Performance
We looked at the cosmetic features of the Too but we need to take a look under the hood and really see what has made VOOPOO a household name across the world. This is where the device performance needs to be analyzed. When we peel back the layers of the Too what we find underneath is the powerful, accurate and very well performing Gene Chip. VooPoo owners worldwide have since praised its reliability, performance, and accuracy. Some have even said the Gene Chip is a front line contender against the Evolv DNA Chipset. Touting a 0.020-0.025s fire rate, the Gene Chip certainly seems to be all that it is said to be. Compared to other devices with a 0.080-0.100s fire rate, the Too is going to get you to your set power instantly.
Vapers who use super sub ohm resistance builds will love what the Gene chip has to offer. At a price point considerably lower than that of any Evolv based device or YiHi based device, the Too is a game-changing device, just like the Drag was. Never before have vapers been able to achieve this level of performance for under 100$. The Gene chip offers 95% accuracy in both Temperature Control and Variable Wattage modes, better than any sub 100 dollar device.
Within the TOO menus, there are several different mode options for users to choose from. Regular mode, Custom Mode, and Soft Mode are available while operating in the Power function while the Temperature Control mode offers two additions settings which are Coil Cooling Value and Coil Coefficient to better achieve your exact preferred vape.
Aside from the incredible performance features the Gene chip offers, all the standard safety features will be found, such as low voltage, low resistance, short circuit and many others. Overall, the TOO is an extremely solid performer that will hold up to any DNA or YiHi chip and possibly even take the lead.
VOOPOO TOO UForce Tank
The Too comes packaged with the VOOPOO UForce tank. While advertising on the back of the packaging as an RTA, it is just a sub ohm tank that takes disposable coil heads. The UForce comes packaged with one 0.4ohm OCC coil head which should be suitable for most. The coils are not suitable for temperature control but can go up to 80w in power mode. Vapor production and flavor produced will be sufficient. The tank does look very nice paired with the TOO, certainly a well thought out match. The UForce is a 24mm atomizer and will hold a max of 3.5ml of eliquid. The UForce has a smaller airflow chamber than most tanks, coming in at a 14mm chamber size. This should push more flavor up through the tank and produce better flavor over other tanks.
VOOPOO TOO Box Mod Final Thoughts
The VOOPOO TOO is an extremely powerful device with the full aesthetic package. The design work put into it is exceptional and eye-catching, Packaged together with the UForce Tank, seasoned or even beginner vapers will not be disappointed with what they are getting. Certainly, the Too could be sold for much more but it is very nice to see that a company is making this level of performance available to just about anyone.
A couple of design oversights that were noted earlier, such as the sliding battery doors that come open from time to time and the rattle in the buttons. These issues are quite minor and can be worked around, some may not even be bothered by them. Even with these couple flaws, the performance of the device overshadows everything else. Overall, the TOO is a wise choice for anyone looking for full control and substantial performance abilities.
