Review Disclaimer for the Wotofo Nudge 22 RDA
I review products including the (Wotofo Nudge 22 RDA) for what they are with no account of where it comes from or who makes it. The test results are the results for what is in my hand. Due to possible QC differences your experience may vary. There is no way for myself or anyone to predict if a device will last 6 months, 1 year, 5 years etc. Any manufactured item from cars to phones to computers to mods have a possibility of arriving DOA or having a small percent failure rate. There is no way to predict this or quantify this. That’s why warranties and lemon laws exist. I can only review what I have in my hand for better or for worse. Contrary to popular belief, there is no special review samples of higher quality. Most of the time personally i get retail versions, the few times i’ve gotten early releases they are usually worse than the final retail version.
I decided to add this disclaimer in as i feel it’s important for people to know their source of review. I’ve been vaping since late 2011, having vaped all the styles from MTL to RLH to DTL, tanks, RTAs, RDAs, you name it. I do prefer the DTL and RLH style over the MTL personally. My main focus from an atomizer is flavor. For mods i’ve used mechs and regulated mods. I’m an avid temp control vaper but enjoy power mode as well and the occasion mech useage for nostalgia. I’ve been doing reviews since late 2016. As of Jan 2018 I’ve done over 100 written reviews and over 150 video reviews on my channel, Although i’ve taken a break from videos in the past few months to focus on written reviews.
I spend a lot of time helping vapers on forums as well to try and answer all the questions and comments on my reviews. I’m not an “out of the box” reviewer, I do my best to be thorough at all times. All mods get tested with an oscilloscope and stress tested. At times if needed i’ll disassemble them as well. Rebuildables get multiple builds in them. With tanks I use all coils until they die or a minimum of 2 weeks if they don’t die sooner. I do this for the community to help people find good products and avoid bad ones. My opinion is that a reviewer works for the community and nobody else. It’s our job to inform vapers of issues and not be advertisers as well as provide constructive criticism from a place of knowledge back to companies with these reviews so they can improve and make better products in the future.
Wotofo Nudge 22 RDA Introduction
The Wotofo Nudge 22 RDA is the latest RDA from long time vape manufacturer Wotofo. It’s a smaller single coil version of the original Nudge RDA. The deck design itself is very similar to that of the Wotofo Serpent SMM RTA so made for single coils and quite easy to build on. It’s available in 6 colors Black, Blue, Green, Gun Metal, Red, and SS. The Blue, Red and Green come with matching resin drip tips, while the other 3 colors have a black drip.

Wotofo Nudge 22 RDA Initial Impressions
While the market is booming for dual coil RDAs, the single coil RDA market hasn’t been as big for affordable mass produced RDAs. Wotofo has clearly made this to help fill the market gap that is largely dominated by the Pulse 22 and Wasp Nano. It comes with a sqounk BF pin and being single coil like the 2 mentioned above, makes it ideal for those popular single battery sqounkers we are seeing more and more of these days. So I slapped some builds on it and used it as a sqounk RDA from the start. Now lets go over the details.
Wotofo Nudge 22 RDA Build Deck and Wicking
Let’s talk about the build deck now. It’s a 2 post deck just like the Wotofo Serpent SMM. Each lead is secured by a post screw and gets its own hole. There are 4 holes but you’ll only use 2 of them. This means you don’t have to worry about which way you wind your coil making it very easy to build on. It also positions your coil pretty nicely. I ran it with the coil being low (almost under the airflow, mid (lined up with the airflow) and high (bottom quarter of the coil visible through the airflow) and found it best high but the mid was pretty good too. It’s not too finnicky with coil position and comes with phillip screws only and a spare set of phillips screws. The quality is just ok, Wotofo needs to get on board though with better screws and preferably hex which i find the best or at least flat head options as well.
Wicking is pretty easy overall. It’s an RDA so no tricks needed. You can drop the ends of the cotton to the deck. You are going to drip on it or sqounk on it so no need to worry much. Just make sure the cotton in the coil isn’t too tight to choke it or too loose.
Wotofo Nudge 22 RDA Performance
Performance wise, I used it as a single coil RDA as intended. My max recommendation is 4mm however 2.5-3.5mm also worked well. I’d say 3mm is the most ideal so it can handle some big builds for sure. I ran mostly fancy wires such as fused claptons and aliens but also ran a couple of round wire builds. All of them worked well but i prefer the fused clapton personally. Overall the flavor was above average for a single coil RDA. Right up there with the wasp nano and pulse 22. While the air isn’t really adjustable they do come with 2 different caps. One with more air and one with less. The larger air of the 2 is for direct to lung, but not very airy and the smaller is more of a restrictive lung hit. Personally I liked the performance better on the larger air with the larger coils.
Wotofo Nudge 22 RDA Overall Impressions, Details, and Extras
It’s a Side airflow RDA with 1 hole on each side but with the design it channels it under the coil making it more bottom air like. It comes with a resin 810 drip tip as well as a 510 adapter. I think the one’s for the black, SS, and gunmetal are just delrin however as they look like the normal delrin one’s you see on many atomizers and doesn’t have the resin look. I swapped mine out for a more matching one for my setup that is resin. I would have preferred the Resin ones for all the colors, seems odd to only do it with half the colors. The quality is decent, about what i expect from Wotofo. Not great, but not bad for the price point. It’s a bit better then many older Wotofo products i’ve tried. The RDA itself does feel a bit on the thin and light side.
It’s a 22mm diameter so should not overhang on any mod really. It includes a standard 510 pin and a sqounk BF 510 pin. The Juice well is pretty small, it can’t really handle much extra juice but since the air is a little high you have some leeway in your sqounking and dripping. I used it exclusively as a squonker on several mods including the therion BF 75C, VTinbox, Hotcig RSQ, and Wismec Luxotic. The airflow is pretty on the larger one but a little loud, the smaller cap though was pretty loud but i got no whistle. As far as looks go, there is quite a bit of branding on it. One side has the logo while the other side has “NUDGE” written on it.
- Good Flavor
- Sqounk pin included (and regular pin for non sqounking)
- Standard 810 tip (delrin or resin depending on color)
- 510 adapter
- Easy to build (great build deck)
- Price point
- Color options
- Too heavy on the branding
- Only decent quality
- Post screws are phillips only and just decent
- Small juice well
- Semi adjustable air only (2 different caps)
- Smaller cap makes it loud

Wotofo Nudge 22 RDA Conclusion
So with all that said, do I recommend this RDA? I don’t like to do a hard yes or no, this one i’m going to lean towards the yes. I have a few personal gripes with it like the branding and lack of hex screws, but at the end of the day the performance is there. It’s right in line with other affordable single coil sqounking RDAs like the pulse 22 and wasp nano and adds another good option to use on all those single battery sqounkers hitting the market.
I started vaping in late 2011 to quit chewing tobacco. over the past few years i got a lot more into the hobby side and buying and collecting a lot of gear. Fed up with the lack of good fair reviews i decided to start doing reviews late 2016 and haven’t looked back. I enjoy providing people with technical reviews that are fair and unbiased and from a place of knowledge to help them spend their money wisely.
